How Speed-Dating Works

• What is Speed Dating?
• Speed Dating is an exciting, quick, non-pressured way to meet singles in your area. In one evening you will meet a variety of singles in 5 minute one on one conversations. You can meet anywhere from 7 to 15 singles of the opposite sex in one night.
• Is 5 minutes enough time to get to know someone?
• Yes. Speed dating is all about first impressions and 5 minutes is the perfect amount of time to spend with a person. Just enough time to know if you would like a second date. It is also not too long to spend with someone you don’t feel any chemistry with.
• How many singles will I meet at an event?
• You will be guaranteed to meet 7 singles and we book up to 15 singles of the opposite sex. So the minimum is 7 men and 7 women and maximum is 15 men and 15 women.
• What type of people will I be expecting to meet at a Dating Blocks event?
• Most of our participants are professionals that value there time and are looking for an effective way to meet compatible singles. They are singles like you that are tired of the traditional way to find a date and want to meet other singles in a safe fun environment.
• How long is an event?
• A Dating Blocks event can last from 1.5-2 hours. This time includes a 10 minute introduction, time for the mini-dates with 1 minute between each mini-date, break time half way through the event, and 10 minute closing to hand in your score card and ask any more questions you may have. We will also have the venue reserved for a social afterward so you may chat with your new friends if you wish.

Registering for an Event

• I don’t feel comfortable giving my credit card on-line. Is this the only way to pay?
• We use Authorize.net for our on-line transactions, in which we 100% guarantee a secure transaction. If you have questions about payment please contact us with any concerns.
• I am not within the recommended age group. Can I still attend the event?
• The age group is a suggestion and gives you an idea of who will be at the event. You can still attend the event knowing that most of the singles will be within the age range. If you do not see an age range that interests you contact us with a request for an event and we will do are best to provide an event that will work for you.
• How much does a Dating Blocks event cost?
• Each Dating Blocks event has a price listed before you register. Prices may vary between events. Go to the find an event page to see what events we are currently holding.
• I am ready to sign up for a Dating Blocks event. Now what?
• Go to our Find an Event page and select the event that you wish to attend. Click on the resister button according to gender and the website will lead you right through the registration process.
• The event I wish to attend is full, what can I do?
• If the event that you wish to attend is full please check back right before the event to see if a spot has opened up. If not don’t worry we are always adding new events. Contact Us to request an event that you would like to see us offer. We look forward to hearing from you.

Preparing for an Event

• What do I wear?
• Wear what you are comfortable in and makes you feel good. Dating Blocks events are not a formal affair. Our suggestion is nice casual clothes. Remember we are about first impressions so you want to make a good one.
• How should I prepare for a Dating Blocks event?
• Don’t be nervous. Get excited and ready to have a good time. Once you are registered for the event we arrange everything for you. Bring yourself and a great attitude. Make sure you're at the event 15 minutes early to sign in. Our events start on time.
• How can I find directions to my Dating Blocks event?
• Directions to the venue are included in the event details. Click the directions link and you will be instantly connected to directions for your event. We will also provide you with a link to your venue's website if you would like more information about your event's location.

Match Center Questions

• Do singles see my personal information?
• The only information other singles will see is your profile card. So they will be able to view your photos and comments you add. Phone number, email, and address will all be confidential. Only the singles you said yes to will be able to view your profile card.

Policies

• I can not attend an event I am registered for. Can I recieve a refund?
• Yes you can recieve a refund based on how close you cancel to your event date. If you do need to cancel please view our cancellation policy to learn how.
